   Skyper’ is a documentation of skype video chats with my grandmother Anna, who lives in Jaunolaine, Latvia. The project aims to investigate the relationship of  an elder generation to new media and digital tools, as well as tap into the idea of collecting as care, preservation, alternative archiving and ritual. The project also explores the mythology of the routine and digital, through the engagement of an elder person, who has a different  experience of the new media due to a generational gap, sight and tactile sensory challenges, limited access to media and news (Anna is a Russian speaker living in Latvia).
